Shimano XTR M9100 – Back to the roots

The Shimano XTR M9100 groupset was developed to meet even the most demanding requirements of professional MTB racers, delivering uncompromising top-level performance. It offers highly versatile components for XC, Enduro and Marathon.

It all began with the search for the perfect mountain bike components. The XTR range now builds on 27 years of innovation, pushing the limits of speed, precision and control even further. It is packed with modern technologies that help riders tackle even the most demanding courses in today's mountain biking. With lower weight, smoother operation, greater durability and versatility, it turns every watt of effort into maximum speed with outstanding efficiency.

Shimano XTR M9100 – disc brake set

The Shimano XTR M9100 Cross Country disc brake set consists of the ergonomic BL-M9100 brake lever and the powerful BR-M9100 two-piston caliper. Simple, trouble-free maintenance is ensured by the proven bleeding system One Way Bleeding and the system Easy Hose Joint System, which makes replacing the brake hose much easier.

J-Kit (Easy Hose Joint System)

Brake systems equipped with the J-Kit connection system have an olive already integrated into the brake lever. This makes fitting and removing the brake hose easier and faster.

Shimano XTR BL-M9100 brake lever

Shimano engineers redesigned the XTR M9100 brake levers, building on the previous generation's brake system, already regarded as a benchmark for MTB brakes.

The clamp and brake lever body were revised on the BL-M9100. The clamp sits closer to the centre of the lever and has a distinctive angled shape. This allows the outer part of the reservoir to rest directly against the handlebar, creating an additional support point when the lever is pressed.

The result is significantly greater stiffness and stability, giving a more direct braking feel and better control of the bike. Compared with the previous generation, the BL-M9100 lever is up to 10 % stiffer.

The lightweight XC brake lever with a magnesium body naturally features individual reach adjustment. Thanks to the I-Spec EV the Shimano XTR SL-M9100-I shifter can be mounted directly to the brake lever.

Shimano XTR BR-M9100 brake caliper (FRONT)

The Shimano XTR BR-M9100 brake caliper features a one-piece aluminium construction. Combined with highly rigid brake hoses, it delivers a significantly faster brake response and less free lever travel.

K02Ti Resin brake pads with a titanium backing plate or K04S Metal pads, combined with the two-piston caliper, provide exceptionally effective braking while keeping weight low.

Shimano XTR BR-M9110 brake caliper (REAR)

The BR-M9110 is a version of the Shimano XTR brake caliper with Flat Mount. Its one-piece aluminium construction, combined with highly rigid brake hoses, provides a significantly faster brake response and minimises free travel at the brake lever.

Brake pads combined with the two-piston caliper provide exceptionally effective braking while keeping weight low.
