Product detailed description

WTB Vulpine folding tire – Dual DNA | SG | TCS – 45-622 | black

WTB Vulpine is the latest race-oriented model from WTB's popular gravel tire series.

Densely spaced center lugs create an almost continuous centerline, reducing rolling resistance. The rest of the pattern consists of low and short protrusions that increase driving efficiency, reduce the risk of a puncture and ensure predictable traction in corners.

Features of the WTB Vulpine tire

• Dual DNA Compound – two-component rubber compound.

• Tubeless Ready Casing (TCS) – construction compatible with the tubeless system.

• SG Puncture Protection – protection against defects on the entire surface.

Technologies and used materials

Tubeless Compatible System (TCS)

WTB's comprehensive tubeless system that meets ISO/ETRTO international standards. Version 2.0 offers higher resistance and easier assembly.

Dual DNA Compound

Technology using two different rubber compounds. A harder and more efficient compound in the center section reduces rolling resistance, while a softer compound on the side lugs improves grip and cornering control.

Fast Rolling Compound

Technology focused on speed and efficient rolling. The fast central compound is complemented by a softer rubber compound in the lateral areas, achieving a good ratio of speed and grip.

Light Casing

WTB tires with TCS Light technology have a single-layer frame, which is characterized by low weight. They are especially popular among XC and trail riders. They can also be used as a front tire in combination with a reinforced TCS Tough tire on the rear wheel.

SG Puncture Protection

SG technology provides increased puncture protection. It uses special materials to increase resistance to defects. The additional layer on the sidewalls protects the most stressed areas and improves the air tightness of the tire.
